Overview

SkyTrack is a flight tracking and weather app developed by Pir8life. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what data SkyTrack collects and how it is used.

Data We Collect

Location Data: SkyTrack uses your device's GPS location to display local weather conditions and identify nearby aircraft. Your location is processed on-device and sent only to third-party APIs (Open-Meteo for weather, OpenSky Network for flight data) to retrieve relevant information. We do not store your location on any server.

Photos: When you use the AR Spotter capture feature, screenshots are saved to your device's photo library and stored locally within the app. Photos are never uploaded to any server.

Device Sensors: SkyTrack uses your device's magnetometer and accelerometer to orient the AR Spotter view. This data is processed entirely on-device and is not stored or transmitted.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect personal information such as your name, email, or phone number
• We do not use analytics or tracking services
• We do not display advertisements
• We do not share any data with third parties for marketing purposes
• We do not have user accounts or server-side storage

Third-Party Services

SkyTrack uses the following external APIs to provide its features:

• Open-Meteo — weather data (receives your approximate location)
• OpenSky Network — flight tracking data (receives your approximate location)
• HexDB — aircraft registration details (receives aircraft identifiers, not your location)
• RevenueCat — subscription management (processes purchase transactions through Apple)

Subscriptions

SkyTrack offers an auto-renewable subscription managed through Apple's App Store. Payment is processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. We do not have access to your payment information.

Data Storage

All app data (photos, preferences, cached flight data) is stored locally on your device using on-device storage. No data is transmitted to or stored on our servers. We do not operate any servers.

Children's Privacy

SkyTrack is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
